John Abbott College Foundation is offering 50 bursaries of $500 throughout the current academic year

Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Québec - December 15, 2021- In celebration of 50 years of excellence in education and campus life, the John Abbott College Foundation is offering 50 bursaries of $500 throughout the current academic year; twenty-five bursaries have been disbursed this semester and the balance will be awarded during the winter semester. 

One bursary recipient said:??oeIt's been hard to juggle work and school butthis bursary will allow me to focus more on my studies during the week without having to worry about picking up more shifts to be able to support myself.”

Another recipient mentioned: ??oeThis bursary will help me achieve my academic goals because it will alleviate some of my financial stress and will greatly help me both with my expenses and with my mental health.”

Guy Lallemand, Chair of the John Abbott College Foundation Board of Directors stated:??oeThe Foundation's Board wanted to mark this landmark anniversary by reiterating our support and commitment to the students, our most valuable resources.”

Established in October 1999, the Foundation exists to support John Abbott College's mission and statement of purpose. Through fundraising activities, the Foundation allows the College to respond to the steadily increasing demands for its services, while ensuring that the education students receive and the environment in which they learn are second-to-none.
